At least 2 million Americans fall sick due to antibiotic-resistant infections each year, and 23,000 of them die. Pew’s antibiotic resistance project supports policy efforts to spur the creation of new antibiotics, establish programs to ensure that antibiotics are prescribed only when necessary, and end the overuse of antibiotics in food animals. During U.S. Antibiotics Awareness Week (Nov. 13-19), tune in to Pew’s “After the Fact” podcast episode on the subject to learn about this public health issue. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn how you can be a partner in this effort.
Invest in Transformative Change
Pew tackles major challenges across the globe, from combating the opioid crisis, creating flood-prepared communities, and improving state criminal justice systems to safeguarding the world’s ocean and wild lands. As you think about your end-of-year giving and on #GivingTuesday on Nov. 28, align your philanthropic passion with possibility and partner with Pew to make a big bet together. I am humbled and delighted to be able to join forces with Pew to tackle urgent marine conservation issues. These issues require many hands on many oars, and I am more than happy to take up one of them. Carmen Lee, supporter of Global Penguin Conservation
